Deductible Management
The surge in high-deductible health plans makes proactive deductible management a smart strategy—enabling you to avoid the risks of direct patient billing and improve reimbursement. But holding claims to see if other services use up the deductible first is time-consuming and increases the odds a claim will be forgotten (especially if you bill in high volume).
The AIM Intelligence Deductible Management tool eliminates those challenges with an automated reminder feature. If you run a benefits eligibility check and see that it’s a high-deductible plan with a portion of the deductible unused, you can activate the Deductible Management tool to check the patient’s deductible status periodically. Once the deductible hits the threshold amount you define, the tool automatically releases the claim to the payer.

Medicaid Eligibility Management
When you transport a patient without insurance you run the risk of not being paid. But in some cases, the patient indicates they plan to apply for Medicaid, which could cover the transport.

Once they place the claim in a Medicaid management status, the system checks eligibility based on the pre-determined schedule you set. My Reports/Queues & Shared Reports/Queues
AIM Intelligence now allows users to create and save personalized report and queue parameters to “My Reports” and “My Queues” for future use. This new feature eliminates the need to recreate custom report/queue criteria every time it’s needed. Users can also share their saved reports and queues/workflows with other team members, facilitating better collaboration and efficiency.
This tool is designed to save EMS billing staff time when they require specific custom reports or workflow queues. Instead of wasting time generating the same report criteria repeatedly, users can quickly access their saved reports/queues or shared reports/queues, ensuring a more efficient billing process.
AIM Intelligence also delivers more advanced insights by providing new reports that supplement what’s included in our standard software. For example, you can see how your base rates or mileage rates compare to other providers in your area or determine how much value you’re getting from our Deductible Management or Medicaid Management features.
Predictive Account Lookup
If you handle reoccurring scheduled transports for the same patient, you want to leverage any existing information on file but you don’t want to waste time manually searching for it. The AIM Intelligence Predictive Account Lookup feature solves that dilemma.
When you import a PCR into your AIM EMS Billing Software, the Predictive Account Lookup tool uses PCR data like name, address, or social security number to match to the right patient. Now your billers can move on to coding the bill, saving time and avoiding the risk of unintentionally creating a duplicate account.
ICD-10 Prediction
To get reimbursed accurately and avoid claim rejections, you need to use the right ICD-10 codes. But determining which code to use isn’t so simple…unless you use AIM Intelligence.
AIM Intelligence includes an ICD-10 Prediction tool that makes it faster and easier to pull the correct codes into your EMS bills. It analyzes the data and language used in thousands of patient care reports (PCRs) that AIM handles and identifies correlations with specific ICD-10 codes. Based on these scenarios, our predictive tool recommends the most likely ICD-10 codes for a particular bill. Factoring in their own insights and bill-specific variables, your ambulance biller can select a code from the list provided. No more wasted time spent searching for a code from scratch.
