Software Developer

Ram Software Systems, Inc., a leading provider of EMS Software and Services, is currently seeking an experienced Full-time Software Developer for our Slippery Rock, PA location. The successful candidate will work with the project lead and/or Programming Director in designing, testing, writing and developing new features and enhancements to applications and databases, migration of existing applications, documentation of development efforts, and develop web applications and demos.

The Software Developer must have database skills including SQL Server and working with relational databases. Programming skills required include Visual C++ with MFC architecture and ASP.NET applications as well as some C# using SOAP architecture. Candidate must have a minimum BS in Computer Science (will consider combined qualified experience and education), proven development experience, and experience working in a rapid development environment with little or no supervision.

The Software Support Technician/Customer Service Rep must have a degree in CIS, MIS or related technical field (will consider combined qualified experience and education), familiarity with SQL Server, prior customer service/technical support experience, excellent organizational skills and must be fluent in English and have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Inside/Outside Sales Representative

Position Summary: Position based in Slippery Rock, PA.

Primarily responsible for meeting the corporate sales objectives that will include delivering sales volume, profit, cost control and market share objectives. As a representative of the company to clients, vendors and guests, is expected to portray a positive and professional image of the company at all times. Responsible for maintaining a competitive edge by knowing The AIM System Software, industry rules, regulations and competitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and develops relationships with existing clients in assigned territory and/or target clients.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Enters names, addresses, purchases and comments of prospects solicited into company's contact management database; updates database with all relevant and pertinent sales information.
  • Coordinates product presentations and demonstrations.
  • Monitors and provides territory management including the establishment, growth and development of new accounts.
  • Coordinates, in conjunction with the marketing team, representation at industry tradeshows and presents the Company's products through demonstration booths.
  • Coordinates bid response activities with Sales Director.
  • Pre-plans sales activity on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Works closely and in conjunction with Sales Director to develop sales strategy and tactics, resolves key issues and mages sales pipeline.
  • Follow corporate cost control and spending policies and procedures.
  • Keeps informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to customers.
  • Maintains on-going communications with federal, state, and local Emergency Medical Service Agencies in order to keep abreast with EMS and Industry issues.
  • Other assignments as needed.

Experience:

  • Minimum three years related experience as an external sales representative.
  • Direct experience in the National Emergency Medical Services sector is a plus (Police-Fire-EMS).
  • Must have a successful track record in significantly growing revenue through direct sales.
  • Working knowledge of software applications (Excel, MS Word, Contact Management Software, Power Point, etc.) for performing sales functions.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize multiple tasks/projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to any size audience.
  • Excellent listening and interpretation skills.
  • Strong reasoning skills and the ability to think independently.
