The Privacy Rule

The Privacy Rule is a key part of HIPAA and our customers' rely on AIM to help protect their PHI. Although products are not subject to HIPAA compliance, AIM does support our customers efforts to manage compliance by having reasonable safeguards in place to prevent inappropriate use, release or disclosure of PHI.

PHI includes anything that can be used to identify an individual and any information shared with other health care providers or clearinghouses in any media (digital, verbal, recorded voice, faxed, printed, or written). For more information on The Privacy Rule, visit HHS.gov.
